BURLINGTON, MASS – 01/21/2011 – iBasis, a KPN company, today announced the appointment of Ellen Schmidt to the position of Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Schmidt replaces Chief Legal Officer Mark Flynn who has decided to leave iBasis to pursue other opportunities.
Schmidt joined iBasis in 2007 as Senior Counsel and has more than 20 years of legal experience in the communications technology industry as a regulator, practitioner and in-house counsel. Prior to iBasis, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel for AT&T as well as Chief Counsel for Media Ones New England Telephony and Internet Services.
Flynn joined iBasis as Chief Legal Officer in 2007.
