SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Introduction
iBASIS is committed to conducting business with integrity, fairness, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This Supplier Code of Conduct sets forth the expectations and standards for all suppliers, vendors, and business partners who provide goods and services to our company.
2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Suppliers must comply with all applicable international, national, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to labor, health and safety, environment, and anti-corruption.
3. Business Integrity and Ethics
- Suppliers must conduct business in an ethical manner, avoiding corruption, bribery, extortion, and fraud.
- Any form of bribery or facilitation payments, whether direct or indirect, is strictly prohibited.
- Conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and suppliers should not engage in practices that create unfair competitive advantages.
4. Labor and Human Rights
- Suppliers must uphold fundamental human rights as defined by the United Nations and the International Labor Organization.
- Employment must be voluntary, and forced, bonded, or child labor is strictly prohibited.
- Suppliers must provide a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, or abuse.
- Fair wages, benefits, and working hours in compliance with applicable laws must be provided.
5. Health and Safety
- Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment for their employees.
- Occupational health and safety measures must be in place to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Adequate emergency preparedness and response measures must be implemented.
6. Environmental Responsibility
- Suppliers must comply with environmental laws and regulations.
- Efforts should be made to minimize waste, emissions, and environmental impact.
- Sustainable practices, including energy efficiency and responsible sourcing, are encouraged.
7. Data Protection and Confidentiality
- Suppliers must protect confidential and proprietary information of iBASIS and its customers.
- Personal and business data must be handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
8. Supply Chain Responsibility
- Suppliers are expected to extend these standards to their own suppliers and subcontractors.
- Due diligence should be conducted to ensure ethical and responsible sourcing of goods and services.
9. Monitoring and Compliance
- iBASIS reserves the right to audit and assess suppliers’ compliance with this Code of Conduct.
- Non-compliance may result in corrective actions, suspension, or termination of business relationships.
10. Reporting Violations
- Suppliers must report any violations of this Code to iBASIS Legal Department at legal@iBASIS.net or reporting channel report@iBASIS.net.
- Reports will be handled confidentially, and retaliation against those reporting in good faith is prohibited.
By engaging with iBASIS, suppliers acknowledge and commit to adhering to this Supplier Code of Conduct.
