While much has changed over the past year, iBASIS’ commitment to “Sustaining Tomorrow, Today” remains the same. Throughout 2024, we maintained our focus on minimizing our environmental impact, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, reinforcing governance structures, and making a meaningful contribution to the communities we serve.
In this Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, you’ll find a detailed overview of our performance in these critical areas. We aim to provide a transparent and honest account of our achievements, the challenges we’ve faced, and the steps we’ve taken to overcome them.
We continued to build on the actions from 2023 in Environmental Stewardship, Social Responsibility, and Governance, while also investing in new initiatives. Some key highlights include:
- Establishing a dedicated executive committee (EXCO) with six members and an extended version of 15 members, enhancing communication and representation throughout the company.
- Organizing and participating in an Impact Day, where we distributed food, cooked for under-resourced communities, supported animal shelters, and more
- Took proactive steps by working alongside companies like Ecologi on carbon avoidance projects, and funding crucial reforestation projects
- Donating books and essential hygiene products for mothers and babies at women’s shelters
- Conducting small, intimate focus groups to review employee survey results, providing a platform for actionable feedback
- Providing donations to support those affected by recent hurricanes in the US
Each year, our goal is to not only meet the expectations of our stakeholders but to exceed them—setting new standards for responsible corporate behavior and leadership.
