Introducing Roaming Policy Control – A Use Case Survey

With the advent of Roam Like Home business models and the rise of mobile video and IoT, offering advanced personalized roaming services are key to optimizing the roaming experience and safeguarding roaming profits. Policy control is an important strategic tool to help you achieve these goals. It’s rapidly gaining momentum as operators seek to increase revenue per user and differentiate their services. Infonetics forecasts the global policy management market to grow to almost $2.4 billion in 2017.

 

Measuring trends and use cases

At the Mobile World Congress and GSMA WAS meeting earlier this year, we discussed with operators the role a cloud-based roaming policy control platform could play in the monetization of innovative roaming services and in more quickly and easily rolling out new use cases. We are engaged in platform trials with a few operators and for a variety of use cases.
